Learn All English Bulldog Puppy Training Tips And Become Your Own Dog Trainer

I want to share few English bulldog puppy training tips I learned along the way in raising my pet dog Hunter. Like any newbie pet owners, I was once in the same situation as you are, lost.

To start with, you should be able to begin your training the soonest possible. Dogs just like humans can learn multiple lesson during its younger years. Puppies as young as 8 weeks are mature enough to be trained.

In order to do it successfully, make your training place a conducive one for your pet. Puppies are easily distracted so a quiet place will be a good area for training.

Consistency is the name of the game. You should be able to make the training a routine process. If you start every after meal then do it consistently as to not confuse your puppy. Your tone of voice is another factor you should watch out.

Be firm when giving the command to your puppy but at the same time, include the lighter side of the training by giving a lighter tone whenever you praise your dog for a job well done.

Rewards can do great in the training. Dog food and other treats should be given for every successful attempt to give a good positive reinforcement. This is in addition to the praise you are giving. Praise and treat should be given immediately every after successful action so that your puppy will associate the rewards to what he is doing.

One aspect that is commonly left out in most puppy training tips is about the thing to do when the puppy get it wrong. Never ever punish your puppy for not following your instruction correctly. Don't rush the training by being impatient. Let the puppy complete the task in his own pace. If he fails to get it right, just simply don't give the reward nor praise. Don't blurt out comments such as "bad dog" or "stupid". Puppies are emotional creatures too.

Lastly, make the training short but repetitive. By constantly repeating and practicing, he will soon master his training. Practice makes it perfect.

Starting early can help your puppy develop lessons and tricks he will need to have a gratifying experience with you. I hope that these simple English bulldog puppy training tips can be of invaluable help.
